Senses of the National Olympiad

                                 Senses of the National Olympiad

When I think of the National Olympiad
I see difficult readings and a dark future
I hear the sound of CPE tests
I smell sweat when writing essays
I taste the bitterness of foreseeable failures
I feel depressed and despondent and impotent.
Once upon an exam
Wherein we all partook
Eight persons met yet unknown what would hold
Bitter as it may sound,
Our compassion knew no bounds
We shared our hearts and cried our souls
The wholesome smiles when we succeeded
The callow feeling when we failed
Dolorous and jovial accompanied
We were together nonetheless
We, at last, found our acme
Ensconcing ourselves in our hindrances
Amour propre was always a choice.
Solicitude girdled our efforts
Along the passage of time fade memories
But mirth and empathy consign to the mind.

The first six sentences were written by all 8 members of my NEC team. If you can read this, hope that we can always remember the best two months of 2019.
